This isn't how Bryson DeChambeau drew it up.
He was already in a brutal spot at an odd angle in the rough at the No. 4 in his opening round of The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
But then, DeChambeau came up with nothing but air.
His third shot was, well, a third stroke but not a third contact.
And even on his fourth stroke, DeChambeau hardly got the ball to go anywhere at all.
— Flushing It (@flushingitgolf) July 17, 2025DeChambeau actually did well from there. He got up and down for a double-bogey to save 6 on a hole that could've been so much worse.
That'll probably be his only shot all weekend where he comes up with nothing but air.
