Browns surge 25 spots in ESPN ranking that bodes well for their future

The Cleveland Browns are not one of the top teams in the NFL right now. They're clearly one of the teams expected to finish around the bottom of the league in 2026.

But there aren't many teams that can compare to the optimism surrounding the future of the franchise. It's a strange thing to say about the Browns, considering recent history, but this Browns team is in a great spot as a franchise.

The reason why is simple: ESPN's Aaron Schatz, in his ranking of the teams with the best under-25 talent, placed the Browns fourth overall. A strong ranking for Cleveland, and that's without a blue-chip QB under 25 years old as well.

Browns' 4th-place in ESPN's under-25 ranking bodes well for future success

"4. Cleveland Browns. Last year's rank: 29. Blue chips: TE Harold Fannin Jr., OT Spencer Fano, DT Mason Graham, LB Carson Schwesinger," Schatz writes.

The Browns rank fourth in the NFL for talent under 25 years old, as they're only behind the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Chicago Bears.

All three of those teams are some of the most exciting teams in the NFL, and the only reason why the Browns aren't included in that grouping is the questionable quarterback position.

But, looking over the rest of the roster, it's clear the Browns' talent under 25 years old is comparable to the best teams around the league.

On defense, Carson Schwesinger, Mason Graham, Emmanuel McNeill-Warren, and Ronnie Hickman are some great young players to have confidence in.

On offense, Harold Fannin Jr., Spencer Fano, Quinshon Judkins, Dylan Sampson, KC Concepcion, and Denzel Boston are a fantastic group of young offensive players.

That list doesn't even include Shedeur Sanders, who's also under 25 years old. Overall, it's clear the Browns have some of the best young talent in the NFL.

While they might not be a top contender like some of the teams inside the top four of this ranking from Schatz, these under-25 players on the Browns roster are great and bode well for the team's future success.
