Shedeur Sanders has been predicted for seemingly every possible outcome by various NFL analysts.
ESPN's Mike Clay is the latest to put his take on paper.
The stats expert predicted Sanders (and rookie teammate Dillon Gabriel) both to make a handful of starts in 2026.
Clay projects Sanders throwing for 925 yards and 4 TDs. He's got his Gabriel projection at 1,205 passing yards, 5 TDs across three outside.
"In Cleveland, Gabriel and Sanders will compete with Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett for the Week 1 starting job," PFN said.. "Both rookies figure to get some 2025 run because of the uncertainty surrounding Flacco and Pickett."

Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett could end up serving as an inspiration for either of the young quarterbacks. Fans know who those former NFL quarterbacks are and what they accomplished.
The Browns have started 40 quarterbacks since 1990. There's a chance they add four new members who could all start in the early part of the season to make that list even longer (although technically Flacco has been here before).

Right now, it seems a safe bet that both rookies get action for Cleveland. Their job will be to impress enough when they get their time to try and lock up a future job down the road.
