Browns' Shedeur Sanders on Hard Knocks makes perfect sense, but there's some bad news

This Cleveland Browns team is made for the HBO show Hard Knocks.

There's all the Shedeur Sanders buzz. That's contained as part of a crazy four-way quarterback competition.

There's the potential hot seats for GM Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski.

There's superstar Myles Garrett on his new big-money deal.

They've got it all, but there's just one problem.

The Browns aren't actually eligible to be the featured team this year. They were too recently the main team in the training camp edition of the show, according to the NFL's rules

It's such a close call, too. The Browns were on Hard Knocks in 2018, and the limit on being off the show after appearing is eight years.

The NFL might legitimately want to try and alter its rules. This Browns team is too good to pass up.

Among the eligible teams, the NFL's most likely choices probably come from the Eagles, Giants, Commanders, 49ers, Packers or Vikings. The AFC's possibility list includes, among others, the Bills, Dolphins, Ravens, Bengals and Steelers.

Sadly, it won't be the Browns.

But given the Sanders family intrigue, maybe the NFL can pull some strings.

Even if the league can't, there'll likely be enough cameras following Shedeur around to get football fans some intriguing content one way or the other.
