Browns running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested in Florida on Saturday on a battery and domestic violence charge.
His charge, filed in Broward County, is described as “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence,” according to records viewed by The Post.
Judkins was selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Browns.
A spokesman for the Browns says the team is aware of Judkins’ arrest and gathering more information, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
The Browns drafted Judkins, 21, out of Ohio State with the No. 37 overall pick.
He is projected to be the team’s primary running back for the upcoming season, replacing Nick Chubb, who signed a one-year deal worth $2.5 million with the Texans in June.
Following the draft, Browns assistant GM Catherine Hickman praised the team’s selection of Judkins, comparing his style to that of Chubb’s.
“His physicality, his contact balance, the way he runs with strength is something I’ve seen in Nick [Chubb] as an example and those are things, and I’m not saying that this is Nick, Nick is just again, what Nick means to this organization is beyond words,” Hickman said. “But what I’m saying here is this style of play is just going to fit very nicely with what we’re trying to do.”
In his final season for the Buckeyes, Judkins rushed for 2,725 yards with 31 touchdowns in 26 games played, all while winning the national championship.
In addition to Judkins, the Browns also selected running back Dylan Sampson in the fourth round of this year’s draft out of Tennessee.
Judkins remains the only Browns draft selection who has not signed his rookie deal, being one of 30 unsigned second-round picks.
The issue with the draftees is over guaranteed money in their potential contracts.
