The Cleveland Browns will be counting on youth this season.
The focus of the offseason has been at the quarterback position, where they just drafted both Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
But the success of the Browns’ offense this season might actually depend most on how the rookie RBs do.
They drafted Quinshon Judkins out of Ohio State and Dylan Sampson out of Tennessee to join returner Jerome Ford.
ESPN’s Mike Clay recently released season projections for every offensive player in the NFL. For the Browns, he has Judkins running away with the running back job.

Clay has Judkins rushing 211 times for 922 yards and six TDs, all tops on the Browns.
He has Ford getting 82 carries and Sampson getting 62.
It wouldn’t be an entirely surprising outcome, given that the Browns took Judkins with the 36th overall pick after his starring role in Ohio State’s national title.
Judkins will likely get handoffs from multiple quarterbacks throughout the course of the season. Ironically, it’ll be the rookie RB who has to be the constant for a team with lots of offensive flux elsewhere.
Judkins definitely seems like he’s up to the task.
The Judkins-Sampson combo could be a fun one for years to come.
Cleveland probably is set at running back with those two. Now at quarterback? We’ll have to get back to you on the future at that never-solved position for the Browns.
