Browns draft picks until 2029: Here's a look at Cleveland's stockpile after Myles Garrett haul

By trading Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, the Cleveland Browns signal a continued pivot to the future, hoping to collect assets over the next few years.

The Browns are no strangers to this strategy, as Andrew Berry is not afraid to build a war chest of draft picks. Cleveland had multiple first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, and that should continue next year after the team sent Garrett away.

With the Browns considered as one of the worst teams in the league, Cleveland hopes this path helps the team build up its roster over the next few years. Over the next three years, the Browns are well-equipped to add a boatload of talent in an attempt to return to competitiveness.

The Browns sent Garrett to the Rams for a package headlined by pass rusher Jared Verse, but the three draft picks also stand out. Cleveland is adding three picks within the first two days of the next three NFL Drafts, including a first-round pick in a stacked 2027 draft.

The Browns now own 11 picks in the 2027 NFL Draft and are just the second team to have multiple first-round picks next year, joining the New York Jets. Much of Cleveland's draft capital this year comes on the third day, as seven of the 11 picks are after the third round.

Still, the Browns' accumulation of draft capital puts them in prime position entering a 2027 NFL Draft that is widely expected to feature a strong quarterback class.

While that draft is still a year away, college players like Arch Manning, Dante Moore, LaNorris Sellers and Darian Mensah headline those eligible. That doesn't even include non-quarterbacks like Jeremiah Smith, Colin Simmons, Dylan Stewart and Leonard Moore.

Although Cleveland's own pick should be higher than the Rams' selection, Cleveland could use the Los Angeles pick to trade up if the Browns are better than expected this season. Otherwise, the deep draft should allow the Browns to take a really good player late in the first round.
