It's wild to think that just a few months ago, the Cleveland Browns fan base was actually booing quarterback Deshaun Watson. Now, they're cheering him on consistently, and frankly, some would make the argument that they owe him an apology.
But the real story here is that the Browns beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in Week 6 of the NFL season, 13-10, delivering another solid statement win that shows they're no flash in the pan. It's the kind of game that simply makes the chemistry between Watson and his offense, as well as the Browns' defense, hard to ignore.
The Cleveland Browns keep finding ways to win after another takedown, this time of the Baltimore Ravens
In a piece about the NFL's Week 6 games, Nick Shook of the NFL's official website notes that in this game, a "familiar formula" produced a win. It wasn't simple or easy, but a win happened for the Browns.
"It's not pretty and it certainly doesn't produce a relaxing afternoon for Browns fans, but Cleveland once again fought through a low-scoring, defensively driven afternoon, found enough offense when needed most, and delivered another game-winning drive," he adds. "Through six weeks, the Browns sit atop the AFC North alone with tiebreakers over the Ravens and Steelers, and a defense that has consistently proven it's going to make every opposing offense's day rather difficult."
So, the Browns made another win happen, and in doing so, they limited the Ravens to just 235 total yards. Baltimore was also six of 16 on third down, which is a testament to the Browns' defense.
"Against a team of Baltimore's caliber, Cleveland's formula withstood its greatest test, an encouraging sign in mid-October," Shook adds. It's hard to disagree with him, either.
The Browns and Watson are getting the attention of the NFL by doing one thing: winning. They just keep winning, and that's what obviously counts in the league.
