Bronny James suited up for the LA Lakers in their blockbuster battle against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Lakers coach JJ Redick once again used LeBron James' son off the bench as Luka Doncic returned to lead the team's starting lineup against Victor Wembanyama's Spurs.
Bronny received significant playing time in the second quarter and matched up against Wembanyama on the court. The young guard put his body on the line to guard the Spurs superstar, but his efforts went in vain. Wembanyama used his physicality and floored Bronny before knocking down the shot.
The Lakers guard got on the board with a tough banked mid-range jumper, but his attempt to block Wembanyama’s dunk moments later once again proved futile. At half time, Bronny James had two points on 1 of 3 shooting from the floor, and one rebound in five minutes.
