LeBron James' son, Bronny James, continued to crack the LA Lakers' rotation as the team visited the Portland Trail Blazers on the second night of a back-to-back on Monday. Bronny entered this clash after playing 18 minutes against the Miami Heat on Sunday and nearly closing the game.
Coach JJ Redick had Bronny on the floor in the first quarter again amid Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves' absences. Doncic was out due to injury management and Reaves had a groin injury, leaving LA shorthanded in the backcourt.
Bronny James had a relatively quiet run in his first nine minutes, with two assists, entering the timeout at the 6:29 mark of the second quarter. He had a plus-minus of -3, tied for second best on the Lakers with Deandre Ayton.
