Bronny James is resetting his career with elite G League stats

Bronny James is no lost cause.

Sure, LeBron James' son holds career averages of 2.2 points and 1.0 assist in the NBA. And it's true that the former USC star continues to hone his craft in the G League, with the Los Angeles Lakers' affiliate in El Segundo.

But to Bronny's credit, he has taken the demotion to the South Bay Lakers in stride. That might even be downplaying what the young guard is doing in the NBA's developmental league.

The South Bay Lakers are in the midst of a 10-game winning streak; they are 11-0 when James plays. And he's playing really, really well.

Bronny James is currently on pace to join the 50/40/90 club in the G-League this season:

64% FG
43% 3PT
90% FT

The South Bay Lakers have also gone 11-0 in games he’s played 🔥👀

James is averaging 15.5 points in 28.9 minutes per game. He is shooting 54.5 percent from the field, 42.6 percent from 3-point range and exactly 90 percent from the free-throw line.

Somewhat unfortunately for Bronny though, his father's Lakers are on a hot streak of their own that is precluding him from receiving more opportunities in the NBA right now.

Los Angeles has moved up to third in the Western Conference standings amid a four-game winning streak. It will have to hold off the Houston Rockets and the Denver Nuggets in a bid to gain home-court advantage in the first round -- while avoiding a possible second-round matchup with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder
