Broncos sign 4 more players to future deals, lose WR to AFC North team

The Denver Broncos announced future/reserve contracts for four players on Thursday.

Signed to those deals were defensive lineman Kristian Williams, offensive lineman Nash Jones, offensive lineman Michael Deiter and offensive lineman Marques Cox. Those players will join the six the Broncos already inked to future deals earlier this week.

The Broncos signed Williams as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri last April following the NFL Draft. He was cut following the preseason but the team has decided to give him another look.

Jones is a 6-foot-5 prospect out of Texas State who spent time on the practice squads of both the Los Angeles Chargers and Broncos this season.

The Broncos signed Cox as an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky and he made his way through a crowded offensive line group to earn a spot on the team's practice squad. With more experience under his belt, he could make a push for a rotational spot next season.

The Broncos signed Deiter, a veteran and former third-round pick, to the practice squad in January. He was there for two weeks before being released, but the Broncos are going to take a further look at him next season.

One player who has spent the past two seasons on the Broncos' practice squad won't be back. Wide receiver A.T. Perry has signed a future contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, looking to take his career in a new direction.

The Broncos snagged Perry when he was waived by the New Orleans Saints in October 2024 and he was thought to be a bit of a sleeper prospect at the position. But he never caught a single pass in Denver, spending the rest of 2024 and all of 2025 on the practice squad.

The Broncos had a need for a wide receiver due to injuries this season, but instead of elevating Perry, they used Michael Bandy and, later in the season, Elijah Moore. Those decisions may have helped lead to Perry deciding he wanted a new start in a new city.
