The Denver Broncos reportedly have a favorite for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
The Broncos are in the market for a new play-caller after the team fired Joe Lombardi following the 2025 season.
The latest on the search comes from Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, who is reporting that the Broncos have three known candidates for the vacancy, a list that includes Denver's passing-game coordinator Davis Webb, who is considered the favorite after interviewing for the job.
Tomasson adds that the Broncos have also interviewed Washington Commanders passing-game coordinator and assistant head coach Brian Johnson, as well as the Buffalo Bills' quarterbacks coach, Ronald Curry.
"Source said Broncos have officially interviewed pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Davis Webb for their offensive coordinator job. He's the third known candidate to have interviewed after Ronald Curry, Brian Johnson. Sources have said Webb is leading candidate for the job," he said.
This comes as zero surprise, as Webb has been considered the favorite for the job since Lombardi was fired.
With no head coach opportunities left, the only threat to the Broncos keeping Webb is if he is offered an offensive coordinator job with another team that gives him an opportunity to call plays, something he wouldn't be doing in Denver with Sean Payton having that job.
ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that Webb received requests from the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens, but Baltimore and Philadelphia have since hired new play-callers.
It would appear the Giants are the last team standing, although there hasn't been any confirmation that Webb actually interviewed for the job.
Webb could conceivably take that job over Denver's if he wants it, as the Giants would give him an opportunity to call plays.
But until a Giants-Webb interview is confirmed, it looks like it's a safe bet that Webb will be staying in Denver as the next offensive coordinator.
