Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos have secured their No. 1 wide receiver for the foreseeable future.
On Monday, Courtland Sutton and the Broncos agreed to an expensive, lengthy extension.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the deal is for four years and $92 million.
It's a vote of confidence in where the second-year QB Nix has this offense going. Denver knows he needs his top target, and they made sure a deal got done.
Ironically, Sutton didn't participate in the 2024 offseason program as he sought a new deal, but he never got one.
Then he went out and put up 81 catches for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns. That got the contract he wanted
Sutton will turn 30 in October, so this is likely the last big contract for the 6-foot-4 star.

In total value, this comes in as the 11th-biggest WR contract in the NFL.
In annual average value, at $23 million, it slots in as a tie for 18th with Calvin Ridley. More irony: It's just behind Terry McLaurin's active annual value ($23.2 million) as the Commanders star seeks a new contract of his own at 30 years old.
Denver's next task is to discover who its true WR2 is.
The favorite for that role this season is Marvin Mims Jr., who has been more of a gadget player up to this point. The darkhorse is third-round rookie Pat Bryant.
Maybe that's a gap filled better down the road. But the Broncos know they have Sutton holding down his spot for years to come, and that's gotta be a good feeling for Nix and head coach Sean Payton.
