The Seattle Seahawks took home the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday with a dominant victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, and running back Kenneth Walker III was the star of the show.
On the biggest stage, Walker posted 135 rushing yards on five yards per carry and also added 26 yards through the air. The 161 yards from scrimmage earned Walker Super Bowl MVP honors and a massive payday this offseason.
Walker is slated to hit free agency next month, and though Seattle will likely look to retain him, Bleacher Report's Moe Moton believes the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs will also pursue the star playmaker.
2025 was one of the better years of Walker's career, as he started all 17 games and tallied his second 1,000-yard campaign. He was also incredibly efficient, averaging 4.6 yards per attempt.
After his performance in the Super Bowl and solid production this season, Walker will be a highly-coveted player on the market.
The Seahawks have $73 million in cap space, so they should easily be able to bring Walker, who is projected to land a $36 million contract over four seasons, per Spotrac, with an average annual value of $9 million.
However, Kansas City and Denver are running back-needy teams who could break the bank to add Walker to their offenses.
The addition of Walker would take the Chiefs' offense to the next level and finally give the unit a rushing attack that defenses will respect.
As for the Broncos, RJ Harvey had a promising rookie season, but pairing him with Walker would give Sean Payton's offense a dynamic running back duo for the future to help out quarterback Bo Nix.
We'll see what transpires with Walker, but if we were to guess, it's hard to see Seattle letting him leave the building after his stellar outing in the Super Bowl. If Walker does depart the Seahawks, the Chiefs and Broncos should emerge as potential suitors for the Michigan State product.
