Jayden James’ modeling career is off to a beautiful start.
Britney Spears’ 19-year-old son is the latest cover star of MAC Cosmetics’ MACzine, marking his first time fronting a fashion or beauty glossy.
“Who the f—ck is Jayden James?” the cover line asks.
Photographer Sarah Pardini shot Jayden dripping wet and staring down the camera; other images show him striking playful poses with bottles of the brand’s Fix+ Multitasking Setting Spray.
But don’t call him a beauty expert: When asked about his routine in the accompanying interview, Jayden joked, “My girlfriend does my whole routine for me, so if you wanna ask her about that, I think she’s the better person.”
MAC Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti shared in a press release, “We celebrate emerging talent and love following their creative journeys. Jayden’s unique sensibility makes him the perfect MACzine cover star.”
While this is the model and musician’s first beauty partnership, he’s been moving further into the fashion space over the past year.
In June, Jayden made his runway debut for Vetements during Paris Fashion Week, joined by his 20-year-old brother, Sean Preston.
Asked by MAC about the major moment, Jayden recalled thinking, “Please don’t fall — and just breathe.”
The teen also revealed that Brazilian male model and social media star Francisco Lachowski sparked his initial interest in fashion.
“When he went off on TikTok and I saw the edit, I was like ‘Dang, I need to be like that guy,’” Jayden told the mag.
Earlier this month, Spears’ younger son teased his MAC partnership by attending an LA event for the global beauty brand.
