The final round of the British Open figures to be a doozy, filled with looping drives, inch-perfect putts, and plenty of bunker balls.
Scottie Scheffler (-14) holds a vice grip on the lead, four strokes better than his closest adversary, Haotong Li. The World No. 1 has enjoyed a starring showcase across the Royal Portrush plains, placing himself in position to claim his third major title.
The field remains as intimidating as ever, filled with players capable of cutting into Scheffler’s advantage, including Matt Fitzpatrick, Chris Gotterup, and Tyrrell Hatton.
Still, Scheffler remains the man to beat. Given his reputation, that’s a worthy title for him to hold.
