Brian Thomas trade rumor from Adam Schefter is terrible news for Giants and Jets

1 hour ago 2

Rumors have been swirling that the Jacksonville Jaguars are not opposed to trading wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., but a top NFL insider is now refuting that report.

It all started when SNY's Connor Hughes reported that the Jaguars had changed their stance from last season and were now interested in trading Thomas.

In the wake of that report, The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt added that the Jets and Giants were interested, which is understandable given their needs at the position.

However, ESPN's Adam Schefter came off the top rope during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Tuesday and said the Jaguars are NOT interested in trading Thomas.

"I've been told that the Jaguars aren't interested in trading Brian Thomas," Schefter said. "His name continues to be floated out there but the Jaguars have no interest in moving on from him."

If we're having a source off here, we'd take Schefter's report over Hughes' considering the ESPN insider has a far longer track record.

And Schefter's report makes more sense because it just boggles the mind why the Jaguars would want to unload Thomas.

Granted, Thomas had a down year last season, but he also showed superstar potential in 2024 after posting over 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Adding to that, he is still just 24 years old, and he's on a cheap rookie deal.

Consider the dream dead for now, Jets and Giants fans.
