Brewers' pitcher tips his cap to Shohei Ohtani after historic night

The Milwaukee Brewers came into Game 4 of the NLCS with their backs against the wall. They were facing elimination after losing the first three games of the series.

They certainly had their work cut out for them as Shohei Ohtani was on the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers. And under the bright lights, the three-time MVP did not disappoint.

Ohtani went six strong innings, giving up no runs on two hits while striking out 10 batters. However, that is not where the fireworks came from.

He led off the game with a home run off Jose Quintana, but it did not stop there. He would go on to hit two more home runs, helping his club eliminate the Brew Crew. He is now the only player in MLB history to have 10 strikeouts and three home runs in the same game.

It is tough to look at what Ohtani did on Friday and not be amazed. This even goes for Jose Quintana, who gave up the leadoff home run to start the game. He talked about his mistake and gave all the credit to Ohtani, via MLB.com's Adam McCalvy.

"That's not the way I wanted to end our season. What Ohtani showed us tonight was amazing. A lot of credit to him. That guy is unreal. That was crazy. Amazing player."

Quintana stated what many others have already. Ohtani is doing things that nobody has ever dreamed of doing before. He has taken this game to a whole new level and is inspiring the next generation to do the same.
