The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 in Game 3 of the 2026 MLB World Series, and now sit just one win from sweeping the Rays for the team's first-ever championship.

Plenty of players deserve their flowers for this playoff run so far, but one of the more noteworthy players so far has been outfielder Jackson Chourio. He's not just playing at a high level; his performance this October and in the World Series is all-time great.

After a four-hit game in Game 3, Chourio made all kinds of MLB postseason history, joining rare company in many different ways, most notably with five key statistics that show how Chourio is becoming an MLB postseason legend.

Jackson Chourio makes multiple kinds of MLB history with all-time World Series performance

Sarah Langs shared a simple statistic from Chourio's overall World Series performance so far, with Chourio's eight hits in the first three games of the World Series one shy of the previous MLB record held by Billy Hatcher in 1990.

But that's only scratching the surface of the history Chourio is making right now. Overall, Chourio's postseason resume is already an all-timer.

Langs shared the following ridiculous statistic that proves it: "Most postseason hits before turning 23: Andruw Jones: 30 (45 games). Jackson Chourio: 29 (23 games)."

If Chourio can get at least two more hits in Game 4, he will have broken the record for most hits by a player under 23 years old in MLB postseason history, and do so in potentially 20 fewer games as well.

Those two feats of MLB history came after Chourio's ridiculous four-hit Game 3 performance. Langs shared how that four-hit day, with a stolen base on top of it, made some more ridiculous hit story.

"At 22 years and 229 days, Jackson Chourio is the 2nd-youngest player in World Series history with 4 hits and a SB in a game, behind Ty Cobb in 1908 G3 (21y 299d)," Langs shared. "He's the youngest player with a 4-hit WS game since Joe Garagiola in 1946 G4 (20y 240d)."

This is a remarkable feat of history for Chourio, as his Game 3 performance is an all-time performance for someone as young as he is. He accomplished this history thanks to a wild two-hit, one-stolen-base fifth inning as the Brewers blew it wide open with a 10-0 lead.

Langs shared that, "There are 47 instances in postseason history of a player having 2 hits in an inning. Jackson Chourio is the only player to do it twice (2025 NLDS G1, 1st)."

No other player has ever had two hits in an inning twice in a postseason career before, until now. But that's not all. He stole a base as well, which made even more MLB history.

"Jackson Chourio is the first player in World Series history with two hits and a SB in an inning. Only others in any postseason inning: 2000 ALDS G5 Chuck Knoblauch, 1st. 1990 ALCS G1 Rickey Henderson, 9th," Langs shared.

These five feats of MLB history are quite the way for Chourio to begin his MLB career. But with a chance to win the World Series and add even more hits and steals to his resume, Chourio has a chance to cement himself as an MLB legend, if he hasn't already.

When this playoff run is all said and done for Chourio, he'll have etched his name in many different parts of MLB history. He's a Milwaukee legend and should be considered a postseason and World Series legend as well, given how well he's played so far.
