As announced moments ago, Ric Flair and a popular WWE Hall of Famer are set to make their returns to AEW. They will be around as a guest for a special event by the promotion.

Next Wednesday, the company will be holding this year's edition of Blood and Guts, which can be considered a special episode of AEW Dynamite. The event will be taking place this year at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina.

The historic venue will be housing one of, if not the most brutal, matches that the Jacksonville-based promotion puts on annually. For the first time, this year's show will feature both a men's and women's edition of Blood and Guts.

Moments ago, Tony Schiavone gave a quick breakdown of next week's show, along with some of the matches that have already been announced for AEW Full Gear on November 22nd. The veteran then revealed that for Blood and Guts in North Carolina, Ric Flair and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat will be in attendance.

Flair and Steamboat are making their returns not only to AEW but to the Greensboro Coliseum. At AEW Revolution last year, both legends were around for Sting's retirement match in the same venue. Ricky was even chosen as the special timekeeper for the match.

As for Flair, his last appearance for the promotion was back in May, as he was around for a special tribute to Steve "Mongo" McMichael during Collision: Beach Break. It is unclear whether Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat will have special roles for next week's show or whether they will only appear as spectators of the event.

Blood and Guts is one of the most-awaited shows in the calendar year. This year looks to be a spectacle with two matches taking place in this unforgiving structure. It remains to be seen who will walk out as victors.
