Tiffany Stratton just lost the WWE Women's Championship to Jade Cargill. Sportskeeda Wrestling can now confirm the real reason the title change took place in this exclusive.
At Saturday Night's Main Event, Jade Cargill faced Tiffany Stratton after she betrayed the star last week by laying her out. Going into the match, Stratton was injured and her knee was banged up. In the end, Cargill dominated the match completely, attacking the injured knee, hitting multiple slams, powerbombs, and in a moment reminiscent of Brock Lesnar destroying John Cena at SummerSlam, defeated Stratton. Cargill is now the new Women's Champ.
This author spoke to sources within WWE who have now revealed the real reason that the title change took place. The source revealed that the idea was to have Cargill get that Brock Lesnar like push and appear dominant. That was the major reason for the title change.
The source also confirmed that Tiffany Stratton had picked up a few knocks over her title reigns and she would get some time to recover from them in this manner.

"Yeah so the idea was to give Jade Cargill that Brock Lesnar like look from when he beat Cena all those years back. This shows her to be dominant. That's the real reason for the title change here. The real reason for that ending. It's also been a long run for Tiffany, but she's also picked up a few knocks. She'll likely be out of action a short while after this. Get some recovery."Jade Cargill may take some time off as well after defeating Tiffany Stratton at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
When asked about the rumors surrounding Jade Cargill taking time off for filming as well, the source told this author that it was not confirmed what was happening. However, if she does take time off, then the focus will be on the US title.
"That part is not confirmed. It's up in the air what happens. She could drop the title, but that's unlikely. Even if she is not there, there will be focus on the women's US belt."The next few weeks should reveal more about what's next.
