Bravo’s ‘Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition’ Challenges Real Housewives To Switch Lives With Real Wives – And There’s Lots Of Tears Involved

Some of the housewives are getting a real wakeup call in the new Bravo series Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.

Premiering Oct. 14, the four-episode reboot of Wife Swap will follow Real Housewives stars Angie Katsanevas, Emily Simpson, Melissa Gorga and Dr. Wendy Osefo as they “slip out of their stilettos and find out what it’s like to step into another real wives’ shoes.”

By the looks of the trailer, which is available to watch at the top of this page, the housewives will be switching households with average American mothers from across the country, during which both women will be challenged with abiding by another mother’s rules while also exposing their families to a new way of living.

Teasing “eye-opening moments and emotional breakthroughs,” Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition will force the Real Housewives to “question if they can appreciate the lives they left behind and conversely, the real wives will question whether the aspirational lives showcased on reality TV are truly as glamorous as they appear.”

The series will be a four-episode event with with new episode focusing on each real housewife’s swipe.

The new series will premiere Oct. 14 with “Overdressed and Underprepared,” which follows Katsanevas to Idaho where she will swap lives with an “off-the-grid homesteader” whose life may teach Katsanevas a thing or two about valuing “nature over luxury.”

Then Dr. Osefo, whose household thrives on a strict schedule and rules, will travel to Florida to live with the family of free-spirited Alathea Shapiro. Gorga will also be challenged to rethink her traditional and perfectionist lifestyle when she swaps families with Michelle Clark, while Simpson will close off the season on Nov. 4 with an experience that will inspire her to push for more family time in her modern home.

The trailer also teases some tense confrontations between the Real Housewives and the real wives as they reunite after what could surely have been a life-changing experience.

Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition premieres on Bravo Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 9/8c. New episodes will be available to stream next day on Peacock.
