General Hospital's Kirsten Storms to Undergo Brain Surgery for Aneurysm

Kirsten Storms' ex-husband Brandon Barash has taken legal action against her.

The Days of Our Lives actor—who shares a 12-year-old daughter with the General Hospital star—was granted an emergency restraining order by a judge after alleging Storms, 42, was suffering from a “mental health crisis,” per a temporary restraining order obtained by TMZ.

In the docs, Barash, 44, claimed that Storms’ "instability with housing has been a recurring theme,” according to the outlet. In fact, Barash claims Storms’ landlord in Tennessee sued her for eviction after the pair moved there separately in the wake of their 2016 divorce.

He also alleged in the documents that Storms didn’t maintain a permanent residence between September 2024 and June 2025, instead staying with friends or at hotels. However, he noted that the Disney Channel alum frequently changed hotels because she was convinced people were "following her and the child to her room."

Brandon claims the housing instability, among other worries, causes him "great concern of [Storm’s] ability to adequately care” for their daughter.

For now, Storms—who shared she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in January—has been granted supervised visitation with their daughter, TMZ reported, per the docs.

E! News has reached out to reps for Storms and Barash but has not yet heard back.

Barash's filing, which he initially submitted to the court in December 2025, per People, comes after the Zenon star contacted him in May 2025 allegedly saying she was "experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and "didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.”

He also claimed that Storms called him in November 2025 saying people were breaking into her apartment and moving her belongings into her car to "mess with her.”

Additionally, Barash said his wife Isabella Devoto—whom he shares son Joaquin, 3, with—helped Storms get into a hospital for her mental health issues, according to People, where she was allegedly placed on a psychiatric hold.

According to the filing, Barash said one of Storms’ friends told him she was having "repeated episodes of melting down, being triggered, hearing things/voices that weren't there.” She also told the Ray actor that she believes Storms is abusing Adderall and, possibly, other substances.

Alongside the petition, Barash also requested a mental health evaluation for his ex-wife, to whom he was married for three years.

As for Storms, in October she opened up about moving out of Los Angeles ahead of getting brain surgery for an aneurysm.

Though she said on Instagram that the “biggest reason” for the move was for her and Barash’s daughter, Storms also shared that she was relocating “for my physical and mental health. And my overall happiness.”

Amid her new chapter, Storms also shared she was leaning on her loved ones for support.

"There are a few really bad apples out there. We all know that," she wrote, "but there are people in my life who I am truly thankful to know. One of those individuals just made a s--t load of sweaters with me. They are glorious."
