The world's oldest and most iconic marathon is back for another 26.2 miles. The 129th annual Boston Marathon will take over the city Monday.
An average of 30,000 runners brave the course each year, stretching from the rural New England town of Hopkinton all the way to the heart of the city, ending on Boylston Street near the Boston Public Library.
As one of the seven World Marathon Majors, the Boston Marathon is not only historic, but also a lifetime achievement for those who are lucky enough to participate.

Boston Marathon 2025 TV channel, live stream

The first start time for the 2025 Boston Marathon is at 9:02 a.m. ET, when the men's Wheelchair Division kicks off race day.

The Boston Marathon also offers an equal $50,000 course record bonus across open and wheelchair divisions.

The race course begins on Main Street in Hopkinton, Mass., before eventually winding its way onto Boylston Street, where it finishes near the Boston Public Library.
