Breaking free from the shackles of street patrol, the duo follows the digital trail on the "Bullseye" website, which sets off a search for Murray at several venues across Boston. They find him stuck in an abandoned storage building with injuries, the phone dead, and all but lost. Their digging beyond the protocols saves a life and cements them as partners who could face censure for doing the right thing.

Sarah and Phoebe's family struggles in Boston Blue season 1 episode 3
Another standout subplot in Boston Blue season 1 episode 3 is Sarah's guardianship of her boyfriend's teenage daughter, Phoebe. While her father is away, Sarah finds Phoebe drinking with older boys, a situation tumultuous with risks and rebellion. Sarah's intervention is sure but not at all easy, as Phoebe immediately deems her "lame" and too controlling.
As it plays out, Sarah's steady presence and concern break through Phoebe's defenses. By the end of the night, after Sarah continues to watch out for her, Phoebe expresses surprising gratitude and revises her initial hostility toward Sarah.
