Blues trade rumors include 3 big names who didn't move at mid-season deadline

The St. Louis Blues had a chance to be one of the most active teams at the 2026 NHL trade deadline.

Instead, a lot of their biggest names didn't go anywhere, and that sets up a fascinating offseason. Will the trades that didn't happen then instead happen now?

That appears to be what many are thinking, including NHL insider David Pagnotta.

In a new article on Monday, Pagnotta wrote that Jordan Binnington, Colton Parayko and Jordan Kyrou are all players who could move this summer.

"Among the St. Louis Blues players we’ll see popping up in trade chatter this summer are goalie Jordan Binnington, winger Jordan Kyrou and defenceman Colton Parayko," Pagnotta wrote.

That doesn't even include Robert Thomas, the center who will also be in plenty of rumors.

Pagnotta goes on to suggest Edmonton and Florida as two possible destinations if Binnington is indeed traded, with goalie being a potential area of need for both the Oilers and Panthers.

"On Binnington, as much as he’s linked to Edmonton, if the Florida Panthers cannot get Sergei Bobrovsky locked up to a new contract, Binnington will be on their radar, too," Pagnotta writes.

Parayko had seemingly come the closest to being traded at the deadline, but he used his own autonomy to turn down a trade to the Buffalo Sabres.

The Sabres sure could've used Parayko on their special playoff run, but that's beside the point.

These guys have all been with St. Louis a long time, and so maybe they don't want to go anywhere. That won't stop the Blues from seeing what they can get done to improve the future of the franchise.
