Blue Jays World Series roster: Full 26-man list for Toronto in 2025 championship series vs. Dodgers

The Toronto Blue Jays are back in the World Series for the first time since 1993. The Blue Jays have been to the Fall Classic only twice — 1992 and 1993 — and they won both times. They are one of only two franchises, for now, that have won the World Series in each of their appearances. 

The Blue Jays duked it out with the Seattle Mariners in the ALCS, needing a massive Game 7 home run from George Springer to propel them to a 4-3 series-clinching victory. 

As in every playoff round, franchises are allowed a 26-man roster that must be declared before the series begins. There are exceptions with injuries, and the team can appeal to make a change, but largely, the 26-man roster is set for the series once it gets underway.

Blue Jays starting pitchers

Rookie starting pitcher Trey Yesavage got the nod to start Game 1. Yesavage has had a meteoric rise to the MLB this season. Toronto drafted the 22-year-old in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft. He started the 2025 season with the team's Single-A affiliate and quickly worked his way up until he made his MLB debut on September 15. He started three regular-season games for Toronto and combined for a 1-0 record with a 3.21 ERA. 

Yesavage became a household name thanks to his first postseason start. He took on the New York Yankees and didn't allow a hit over 5.1 innings of work, while striking out 11. Overall in the postseason, Yesavage has started three games and has a 2-1 record with a 4.20 ERA, striking out 22 in 15 innings of work. He will become the first rookie starting pitcher to start World Series Game 1 since 2006, and the second-youngest Game 1 starter in history. 

While the Dodgers have announced starters for Games 1 and 2, the Blue Jays have only announced Yesavage. If the ALCS is any indication, Toronto will deploy some combination of Kevin Gausman, Shane Bieber and Max Scherzer for the next three games in the series. 

Bieber spent the majority of the 2025 season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery that ended his 2024 campaign. He was traded to Toronto ahead of the 2025 MLB trade deadline, and made his first start of the season and his first with his new franchise in late August. Overall in the 2025 regular season, Bieber started seven games and tallied a 4-2 record with a 3.57 ERA. In the postseason so far, he has three starts and a 1-0 record with a 4.38 ERA.
