By one measure, the two best hitting postseasons in the history of baseball are both happening right now.

For the Toronto Blue Jays, it's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. putting up incredible numbers. And of course for the Los Angeles Dodgers, it's Shohei Ohtani.

Together, they're doing remarkable things.

OptaStats shared what they have done that no one has ever done before:

"There have been two players in MLB history to reach the following stats in a single postseason - 12 extra-base hits, 12 walks, 8 home runs. They are Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Shohei Ohtani in 2025."

That's astounding.

The playoffs have gotten longer, so modern players would be the ones who would have the chance to actually reach these marks.

But before this season, no one ever had.

That's how special Vladdy and Shohei are.

And obviously Ohtani is also a star pitcher. And the crazy part is that Guerrero just took Ohtani deep in Game 4.

Normally you don't have one star hitter taking another star hitter deep on a home run, but Ohtani isn't a normal star.

And now they've got just Game 7 left. Whichever superstar delivers in a bigger way will get the chance to be a champion.
