Fantasy football punishments are always pretty amusing.
The Toronto Blue Jays had a new one lined up, if it had been allowed to go through.
Kevin Gausman, the star right-handed pitcher, placed last in Toronto's league for the 2025 season.
And the planned punishment? Singing the Canadian national anthem.
Specifically, singing 'O Canada' before a Spring Training game.
That's the rumor going around on social media, and man, that would've been incredible.
Apparently, Blue Jays management ended up stopping Gausman from carrying out the song.
just learned kevin gausman came in last in blue jays fantasy football and was gonna sing o canada at a spring training game as his punishment (including the french part) but at the last minute jays management didn’t allow it😭 we were so robbed

That definitely is a clip that would've circulated widely among Toronto sports fans and baseball fans in general.
There's no telling whether Gausman is a quality singer or not, but the world may never know now.
It also begs the question: Did they come up with an alternative punishment? There's no way Gausman just got off the hook, is there?
The Blue Jays should try this again for next year for whoever finishes in last in 2026. Maybe persistence will pay off. The fans would certainly enjoy it.
