Jesus Sanchez got the chance to play against his former team, the Miami Marlins, on Tuesday night.
And then Sanchez came to the plate with the bases loaded and a chance to complete the potential revenge game narrative.
He didn't miss.
The Toronto Blue Jays' new acquisition this season (from the Houston Astros) launched a grand slam, helping the Jays to rout the Marlins.

Sanchez is red hot, too.
He's been 91% better than a league average hitter (based on weighted runs created plus) over this recent stint:
In his last 42 plate appearances Jesús Sánchez is running a:
.518 SLG
.397 xwOBA
191 wRC+
15.2% barrel rate
And a linedrive rate approaching 47%
His bat speed is also up 1.4 MPH

The Blue Jays struggled a bit to find Sanchez consistent playing time in the early going. When healthy, they've got a bunch of outfield depth.
But with Addison Barger out right now, Sanchez is getting to play plenty, and he's proving he has the talent that Toronto hoped for when pulling off the trade for Joey Loperfido in the offseason.
At this rate, Sanchez is going to be very tough to take out of the lineup.
