Ana Navarro was just as confused as we were when Billy Bob Thornton claimed she knew why he wearing a certain accessory on this morning’s episode of The View.
The actor, who appeared on the show to promote his new series Landman, joined the co-hosts at the Hot Topics table toward the end of the episode. When he took his seat between Sunny Hostin and Navarro, the latter couldn’t help but stare down at his waistline.
“Billy, all those keys. Where are we going? What do they open?” Navarro asked, referring to the keys he had attached to his belt buckle. With a rather seductive tone in his voice, Thornton replied, “Ana, you know what that key is for.”
Navarro laughed nervously, while Thornton added, “I’ve met you before. A few times.”
When Joy Behar tried to get to the bottom of the mystery by once again asking what the keys were meant for, Sara Haines and Hostin both said, “Ana knows. She’ll tell us later.”
But Thornton continued to dish on his past with Navarro, who seemed to be growing more and more confused.
“We’ve just run into each other a couple of times over the years on things and —,” Thornton said, before Navarro chimed in to again ask, “And where are the keys to?”
The answer was nothing special, with Thornton explaining that they were “just for looks.”
“They’re nice. Just don’t try to go through TSA with them,” Navarro joked, to which the actor replied, “Oh, believe me. It takes me forever to get through there. But what I do is I put them in a bag and put them on when I get through.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
