Bills take fastest player in 2025 NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills entered the 2025 NFL Draft in need of another cornerback to put opposite Christian Benford. One of the biggest issues with the Bills' secondary last season was speed - they were a slow unit, which allowed opposing teams to consistently take the top off their defense. How did the Bills fix that? Drafting the fastest guy at the draft.

Buffalo drafted Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, who led all prospects with a 4.28 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. The Bills now have their hopeful starter at cornerback - a long, fast guy who is ready to step in and make an instant impact.

Hairston led the SEC with five interceptions in 2023, and finished with six for his career.
