Last week, ESPN ran a story during Sunday NFL Countdown about how Bills Mafia came to be. It started with Stevie Johnson dropping a game-winning touchdown in overtime against the Steelers. After the game, he went on a tweet tirade asking God why he made that happen. Adam Schefter retweeted it, which sparked a lot of Bills fans coming at him. He went on a blocking spree, and in the process, helped create what he know today as "Bills Mafia."
After the segment, Johnson sent Schefter a gift to thank him for helping start Bills Mafia - a framed letter with photos of Johnson and a joker card. The letter reads as follows:
"Adam,
Of all the things I've done in Buffalo
It took for me to make a mistake
Along with a guy not from the area
To unknowingly and unintentionally
Spark the phenomenon
Known around the world as Bills Mafia
Cheers to us | Why So Serious"
Schefter posted the photo on his social media accounts thanking Johnson for the gift.
