Bills' Joe Brady reveals stunning Josh Allen injury update

1 hour ago 2

Much was made of how Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen walked into the introductory press conference for new head coach Joe Brady.

Allen came in on crutches, leading many to wonder how long he had had the foot issue.

With the Bills being dumped from the playoffs by the Denver Broncos, it was another year of failure, with many pointing the finger at Josh, and rightly so, as he had multiple turnovers.

But Brady revealed something rather startling about Allen and his injury at the league owners meeting.

"He's good to go," Brady said via NFL.com. "The thing about Josh Allen, he got surgery after the season, but he's playing as if you think there's nothing wrong with him. The guy could barely walk, and then he's playing games and it's not impacting [his play]. He's built different. And let's hope it continues that way, but he'll be good to go in the offseason.

"I talk with him regularly. He's just excited to get going with guys like DJ Moore, kind of figure out what it's going to look like, just this new kind of era."

Allen set for key 2026 season

With Brady in his head-coaching role, how he helps Allen navigate what will be a pressure-packed 2026 season will be interesting.

As Brady said, it is the beginning of a new era with Sean McDermott being moved on, and that could go one of two ways. The change could be good, or it could take a while for Brady to get his ideas across.

But with DJ Moore, the big offseason signing, along with Bradley Chubb, the Bills have strengthened both sides of the ball.

So, the Bills appear to be in good shape heading into 2026, providing Allen can walk properly this time.
