The Bills are looking within for their potential next head coach.
Buffalo interviewed current offensive coordinator Joe Brady for its head coaching opening on Wednesday after cutting ties with Sean McDermott earlier this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brady, who joined the Bills’ organization before the 2022 season, worked his way up from the team’s quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator, a position he’s held for each of the past two seasons.
He previously served as the Panthers’ OC in 2020 and ’21.

Brady worked one season under Daboll in 2022 before the latter took the head coaching position in New York.
The Bills are also reportedly interviewing former assistant head coach Anthony Lynn, Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski and Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver for their vacancy.
Brady has received interest for head coaching positions from around the league, having been or planning to interview for openings with the Ravens, Dolphins, Raiders and Cardinals.
Buffalo is one of six teams, including the Ravens, Steelers, Cardinals, Raiders and Browns, that are still looking for a new voice.
The Bills are on the hunt for a new head coach after nine seasons of McDermott at the helm.
McDermott’s firing came two days after Buffalo’s devastating 33-30 overtime loss to Denver in the divisional round.
He had a 98-50 mark in the regular season and an 8-8 record in the playoffs with several heartbreaking postseason losses during his run in Buffalo.
