Bills earn incredible grade for Jets blowout

The Buffalo Bills followed up their stirring win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 with a complete dismantling of the New York Jets, 30-10 at MetLife Stadium.

There was a thought that the Bills could suffer from an emotional letdown against the Jets, but it became evident early that Josh Allen and Co. were ready for business, racing out to a 20-3 lead at halftime.

Alle and Co. had over 400 yards of total offense while the defense kept the Jets to just 154 yards, plus they didn't allow a third-down conversion and managed four sacks. That is quite the performance.

For CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin, he's given the Bills an A+ grade for the Jets beatdown.

"Josh Allen threw for just 148 yards, but the Bills offense rolled -- er, ran -- all over Aaron Glenn's defense," Benjamin writes. "Allen got loose with 59 yards via scrambles, while James Cook led the way with a cool 132 yards and two scores, including a 44-yard juke special that all but sealed the game before halftime. Everyone had Buffalo tabbed as the class of the AFC East, and this effortless rout confirmed as much. It was no contest at all."

Bills showcase Super Bowl mentality vs. Jets

The Week 1 win over the Ravens was the stuff of legends, but many were interested to see how the team would back it up. As it turns out, like a genuine Super Bowl contender.

The Bills didn't play with their food; they devoured it in a brutal first half to end the Jets' hopes of causing an upset, just like a good team does. Now sitting at 2-0 with the troubled Miami Dolphins up next, the Bills are taking all before them and took take of business against the Jets.

Many had the Bills as the Super Bowl favorites before the season began, and two weeks in, they look exactly like we thought they would.
