The Buffalo Bills need more cornerbacks.
They picked Maxwell Hairston in the first round, but they’ve subtracted Rasul Douglas and Kaiir Elam this offseason.
Conveniently, a new CB just became very available, and he’s someone the Bills already wanted.
Buffalo was linked earlier this offseason to the pursuit of a trade for Packers star Jaire Alexander, per Fox’s Jordan Schultz.
Green Bay just released Alexander on Monday.
The Packers cut Alexander for two reasons: health and money. Alexander had played less than half of the possible games over the past two seasons. Releasing him also saved the Packers more than $17 million.

Neither of those would be major concerns for Buffalo, which would only have to be worried about what terms Alexander would want on a new contract.
Availability matters, of course, but at this point, it’s more about getting the supremely talented Alexander in the building.
He’ll certainly have a large number of suitors, but the Bills are one of the best teams in football and could be appealing.
Alexander has intercepted Josh Allen twice in his career. If the Bills are smart, they won’t let that happen again.
