Billionaire Eric Schmidt sure has a lot of attractive young female friends!

With friends like these, who needs lovers?

Techie and prolific romancer Eric Schmidt set tongues wagging when he was was seen at Davos in January with Gloria-Sophie Burkandt, a German model and PhD student four decades his junior whose parents are the powerful Minister-President of Bavaria, Markus Söder, and Ulrike Burkandt.

Now a source close to Schmidt tells Page Six that the former Google CEO has been telling pals she’s just a “friend.”

It’s nice to hear that the male loneliness epidemic has not hit Silicon Valley! But we remember Schmidt’s last “friend.”

In 2019, he was courting Alexandra Duisberg, 32 years his junior, and gave her a sparkly 10-carat pink sapphire ring, estimated to be worth millions.

A source insisted to Page Six at the time that it was merely “a friendship ring.”

Back to his new buddy, German newspaper Bild proclaimed of Burkandt, who just turned 27 this December: “Former Google CEO in Love With the Daughter of a German.”

Schmidt — whose net worth is valued by Bloomberg Billionaires Index at $54.6 billion — has been married to Wendy Schmidt for four decades, though its understood they have an open marriage.

Schmidt and Burkandt, who has appeared in Vogue Turkey, will be seeing each other again this weekend when both attend the Munich Security Conference from February 13 to 15.

A source says it “is likely they will cross paths, but she will be there because her family helps put on the event.”

Burkandt’s dad Söder is younger than Schmidt at 59-years-old.

Burkandt splits her time between Germany, Los Angeles and New York, where she owns an apartment in Midtown South according to property records viewed by the Post.

The source tells us Schmidt and Burkandt have similar interests and that they move in similar social circles.

“She is someone who had an interest in some of the things he discussed at Davos, like A.I.,” says our source.

“Being at the @worldeconomicforum and listening to the conversations around AI and the future of Europe was deeply moving for me,” she wrote in an Instagram post.  “When I imagine my future children, I hope they grow up in world that protects curiosity, freedom, and compassion.”

Schmidt, who stepped down as Google’s chief executive in 2011, has been linked to numerous women in the past.

He is currently involved in litigation with his ex mistress Michelle Ritter, who he started dating when she was 27 and with whom he also had business dealings. She has accused Schmidt of misconduct and financial improprieties, which he has denied. 

He was also been linked to Marcy Simon, Kate Bohner, Lisa Shields, pianist Cho-San Nguyen and NYC socialite Ulla Parker.

Burkandt previously dated Sanno Capital founder Florian Moerth.

“Ready for a year overflowing with love, happiness, loyalty, and passion,” she wrote on her Instagram on New Year’s Eve.
