Knight Center in Miami, FL, and featured 47 categories spanning major Latin music genres such as pop, tropical, Latin rhythm and regional Mexican. Additionally, for the first time fans had a historic opportunity to choose one of the night’s winners through a new award, Fan Favorite Artist, which went to Karol G.
During the show, Cristian Castro was saluted with the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award for his enduring and exceptional career; and Rubén Blades received the Billboard Icon Award, celebrating his timeless career in Latin music.
