With each new piece of news that emerges, it seems more and more likely to be true that 73-year old Bill Belichick and his 24-year old girlfriend Jordon Hudson are indeed engaged to be married.
The latest development, involving Belichick’s boat, seems to practically confirm it.
Belichick is known to have a boat that he named VIII Rings. That’s the Roman numeral for 8, representing the six Super Bowl rings Belichick won as Patriots head coach and the two he got as a New York Giants assistant.
TMZ Sports obtained new photos of Belichick’s boat, though, and the name has an addition.
The new name: I + VIII Rings, or “One plus eight rings.”
Unless Belichick won another Super Bowl that no one knows about, it seems like there’s only one other type of ring he might want to commemorate on his boat.

TMZ floats one other possibility. It may be in reference to Hudson’s collegiate cheerleading national title. She has worn that ring in public with Belichick when he rocks his Super Bowl rings.
Belichick and Hudson seem to find their way into the news pretty much every day at this point, whether directly by their own spin or not.
The football coaching legend still is a few months off from actually being a coach in his first game at the helm of North Carolina’s college football team. Some have started to speculate whether he’ll even get to that point.
If Belichick and UNC part ways before then, at least there’s some good news to be had — he’s got a nice cozy boat with a new name to go float in.
