Brodie Lee would have turned 46 today, and in tribute, Big E has shared an emotional message in memory of the late wrestling star.
Many would agree that Brodie Lee was one of the most well-liked people on the AEW roster. The Exalted One joined the Jacksonville-based promotion in March 2020 after leaving WWE in late 2019. He went on to have a successful reign as TNT Champion and a memorable feud with then-AEW star Cody Rhodes. However, in December 2020, Lee died due to complications from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a life-threatening disease he was diagnosed with just a few months earlier. Many wrestling stars who became close with Lee during his time in both promotions were deeply affected by the star's passing, including retired WWE star Big E, who remembered the Exalted One on his 46th birthday.
Earlier today, Lee's widow and AEW personality Amanda Huber shared a heartfelt message for Lee on X. The former New Day member responded with an emotional reply, wishing his friend a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday, my friend."Bobby Lashley claims Big E gave him the worst bump of his career.
Back in 2021, when AEW star Bobby Lashley was still with WWE, he and Big E had numerous clashes over the WWE Championship. When recounting one of their encounters in an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the Almighty revealed that the former WWE Champion gave him his worst bump ever.
“One time when Big E slammed me into the stairs. I don’t know what even happened. The corner of the stairs, the metal stairs, he picked me up and he slammed me on it. And it was one of those ones where I thought when I hit it and I laid down that ground, I was like, am I good? I’m still okay. But when I watched it back, and I have it on my Instagram, it’s horrible. It looked a lot worse than it was. So thank God I was okay afterwards. I wasn’t hurt at all, but it looks nasty,” said Lashley [H/T: SESCOOPS]Currently, Bobby Lashley is on a hiatus from AEW due to an undisclosed injury that is expected to keep him out for several months.
