Beyoncé Narrowly Avoids Falling From Flying Car Due to Prop Malfunction
Look at that horse, look at that horse, look at that horse.
Beyoncé introduced a new element to the Cowboy Carter Tour weeks after experiencing a prop malfuncion.
As she closed out night one in Atlanta, Georgia on July 10, the 43-year-old surprised fans as she returned to the air suspended above the crowd on a gold horse while performing “16 Carriages.”
The brand-new prop, which replaced the red Cadillac that she previously rode in slowly glided as it kept the singer in an upright position while floating around the Mercedes-Benz Stadium until the end of the show.
"‘16 Carriages’ is Back and she’s on a horse now,” one fan wrote on X, as another added, “I just witnessed the rebirth of ‘16 Carriages.’”
Giving the revamped performance their seal of approval, another social media user wrote, “‘16 Carriages’ is back and she’s gaggier than ever.”
ICYMI, during the June 28 show inside of Houston’s NRG Stadium, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer stopped the performance as her Cadillac appeared to lean sideways mid-air.
Amid the unexpected moment, Beyoncé stopped singing before repeating, “Stop, stop, stop,” into her microphone. While she remained suspended in the air, she smiled at the audience before calmly noting, “Thank y’all for your patience,” as the car was finally lowered down to the center of the stadium.

“If ever I fall,” she said after returning to the stage, “I know y’all would catch me.”
Despite the scary mishap, the “Cuff It” singer had some fun with the moment and paid homage to her hometown in a June 30 Instagram post with clips of the malfunction as Big Pokey and Paul Wall’s “Sittin’ SIdewayz” played. (The song title also doubled as the caption.)
The Cowboy Carter Tour—which has also featured performances from Beyoncé's daughters Blue Ivy Carter, 13, and Rumi Carter, 8—hasn’t been without hiccups as she danced her way through a wardrobe malfunction and giggled as her mechanical robot arms missed the mark narrowly hitting her.
“She keep looking at the floor in disbelief,” one user commented under a video shared of the incident, while another added, “It’s a major safety hazard. Good for her for hitting her mark anyways.”
