The Stanley Cup playoffs are quickly turning into the Mikko Rantanen show.
Rantanen recorded a hat trick for the second contest in a row in Dallas’ 3-2 win over Winnipeg on Wednesday night, and he became the first player in postseason history to record a goal or assist on 12 straight scoring plays by his team.
Rantanen and the Stars are a +115 underdog on the road for Friday night’s Game 2.

Stars vs. Jets Game 2 betting preview
Game 1 between the Jets and Stars was as close to a coin flip as you can get.
After a tight first period, Winnipeg took a 1-0 lead in the second only to watch Rantanen score three times in less than eight minutes.
Winnipeg would get one goal back, but Jake Oettinger and the Stars’ defense did a terrific job of limiting scoring chances to earn the one-goal victory.

The two teams basically split the scoring chances at 5-on-5, and the expected goals ended up 2.77-2.75 in favor of the Stars.

Stars vs. Jets Game 2 pick
The fact that Game 1 was so tight should not be a surprise. Not only are these two teams close on paper, but they also want to play a similar style of hockey.
Winnipeg and Dallas rely on defensive structure and elite goaltending, while betting that their star forwards will be able to break the game open at some point.
