Grammys 2026: Jennifer Hudson Reveals the Inspiration Behind Her Show's Spirit Tunnel

There’s a new member of the Pink Pony Club.

Indeed, a year after Chappell Roan won the award for Best New Artist, she passed the title on to Olivia Dean at the 2026 Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Feb. 1. (See all the winners here.)

I never really imagined that I would be up here, let alone nominated,” she said during her acceptance speech. "So, thank you so much."

The singer—who performed alongside fellow Best New Artist nominees KATSEYE, The Marías, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren and Lola Young right before the category was announced—also thanked her family, adding, “I want to say I'm up here as a granddaughter of an immigrant. I'm a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated.”

"We're nothing without each other," the 26-year-old concluded. "Thank you so much. I love you. Thank you so much fun."

Ahead of this year’s ceremony, many of the nominees detailed their disbelief in being nominated for their first Grammy.

“It's literally just the biggest, biggest honor,” KATSEYE member Lara Raj told People in a Jan. 5 interview. “I don't think any of us were expecting it. It really took us by surprise.”

She added, “When we found out, we were all in tears, screaming, crying. It means so much to be recognized among so many people that have been in the industry for so long—and people that we look up to. So many people nominated are the reason that [we are] artists in the first place.”

Plus, Lara noted what the group’s plan would be if they took home gold.

“Every time after we have a performance, we love to sleep. So, we might sleep,” she continued. “But I think if we win a Grammy, we're going to need to have a party. We're going to need to do some celebration, the six of us, for sure.”

Meanwhile, Alex Warren allowed the moment he learned of his nomination to be one filled with emotion with wife Kouvr Annon.

“I bawled in my wife’s arms,” he told AP News in December, noting that after years of facing doubters, “The biggest justification ever was the nomination.”

In addition to crowning this year’s Best New Artist, the Recording Academy handed out dozens of trophies. Read on to see who else won at the 2026 Grammys.
