New starting quarterback Joe Flacco was able to put together an impressive outing en route to a much-needed divisional win for the Cincinnati Bengals against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
Although Cincinnati pulled away with the last-second win, the Bengals were without their top defensive end, Trey Hendrickson, after he sustained a hip injury the week prior against the Green Bay Packers.
On Monday, head coach Zac Taylor provided an update on the 2024 NFL sack leader.
Zac Taylor: Trey Hendrickson is still day-to-day with a hip injury
As the Bengals look to get a second straight win as they play host to the last remaining team yet to record a win this season, the New York Jets, Zac Taylor said that Trey Hendrickson is considered "day-to-day" for the Week 8 game, according to Bengals insider Marshall Kramsky.
With this being said, Hendrickson's status is uncertain for Week 8. The Bengals will hope to get some positive news on the 30-year-old later in the week.
Hendrickson signed a one-year, $30 million contract with the Bengals following a holdout for a large majority of training camp. His name has been floated around in trade rumors so far this NFL season.
Through six games in 2025, Hendrickson has tallied 15 total tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble.
