The New Orleans Saints won their first game of the season against the New York Giants in Week 5, securing a feel-good win at home for the first time in a while.
But the team is still 1-4, and with the trade deadline less than a month away, there are plenty of rumors starting up about who could be available across the league. The Saints, likely to miss the playoffs, have plenty of players in trade rumors.
While Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed are hot topics, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that beloved Saints defensive lineman Cameron Jordan could be available for trade at this year's trade deadline.
The Saints are rumored to have Cameron Jordan available for trade
Schefter's report named a bunch of trade candidates that "executives and coaches believe could be available in the next few weeks." Kamara and Olave were both named among the 10 high-profile players who could be on the move, but so was Jordan.
The 36-year-old defensive lineman has played for the Saints for the last 15 seasons. For New Orleans to move on from him would be a massive change of guard.
Not only is he beloved by the city and the team, but he's also still a productive player in his 15th season. Jordan has 2.5 sacks so far this season with 15 tackles and four tackles for loss. Impressively, Jordan is playing 72 percent of the snaps on defense, an impressive feat for a player his age and with his mileage.
Just a year ago, Jordan played just 48 percent of the snaps on defense. While his snap share has steadily decreased over the years, his playing time this season is an encouraging development for the Saints' beloved lineman.
Jordan is a franchise legend, earning eight Pro Bowls and one All-Pro with the Saints over the last decade and a half. He was also named as a member of the HOF All-2010s Team, a deserving honor for one of the best linemen in the NFL.

In his NFL career, Jordan has 124 sacks and 731 tackles. Only Von Miller, who's bounced around the league, has more sacks (132.5) than Jordan among all active players.
While he's cooled off defensively over the last few years, his production through the early goings of this season will make him an interesting trade chip at the deadline.
Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers need defensive line help, and Jordan would be a fascinating fit for both teams.
But for the Saints, losing Jordan, even if it nets a decent return, would be a sad end to his time in New Orleans. The beloved defensive lineman has had an incredible career, and he will likely stick around the NFL once he retires from playing.
New Orleans doesn't have to trade Jordan, but this report from Schefter does open the door to the veteran lineman being dealt at this year's trade deadline. It'd be a sad day for the Saints, but it could lead to Jordan earning his first Super Bowl ring, further cementing his Hall of Fame case.
This might not be Jordan's last season in the NFL, but for the first time since being drafted in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, he could be on a new NFL team. Time will tell if he gets moved or not, but for now, there are real trade rumors surrounding the 15-year Saints veteran defensive lineman.
