The Chicago Bears had a solid running game in 2024 with D'Andre Swift in his first year with the franchise.
He had 959 rushing yards and six touchdowns. He also had 42 catches and 386 receiving yards. While this is the case, there has been a lot of chatter about bringing in another running back this offseason. That was the case during the NFL Draft as well, but the team didn't make any huge additions.
There are some options out there in free agency if Ben Johnson wants to add another rusher and CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin suggested four-time Pro Bowler Nick Chubb as a "notable" move the Bears should make.
"Nick Chubb to the Bears," Benjamin said. "Chicago was rumored as a potential Ashton Jeanty landing spot in the draft. Instead, the Bears focused on the other skill spots. Chubb's pure rushing prowess would be a welcome complement to D'Andre Swift's change-of-pace burst, however. The entire offseason has been about boosting Caleb Williams' support."

Chubb is a guy who is dynamic when he is healthy. He had four straight Pro Bowl seasons from 2019 through 2022 and racked up 5,345 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns over that span in 59 games played. He only played in two games in 2023, though, and followed it up by playing eight games in 2024.
He's available in free agency and may be worth taking a chance on to form a duo with Swift.
