There remains a feeling that the Chicago Bears will add an edge rusher to their defense. The Bears will have to be smart about what they want to do, though the expectation is that they add a veteran who can come in and make an immediate impact.
Cameron Jordan definitely isn't what he used to be, but he's still more than a serviceable professional, and can be a guy who comes in and has an immediate impact for an organization that's trying to win a Super Bowl like Chicago.
Despite that reality, there have been some conflicting reports about it possibly happening, with an ESPN reporter saying that she expects him to re-sign with the New Orleans Saints.
“Also, Cam Jordan, who I feel like will re-sign in New Orleans … was actually pretty good last year,” Mina Kimes said.
Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen also came out on Monday and stated that he and the rest of the coaching staff feel good about where they stand at the position at the moment.
‘‘I don’t know that there’s been a ton of discussion about [signing him]. We feel pretty good about where we’re at and what we have,” Allen said, via Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times. “Yet you never know what opportunities might present themselves down the road.’’
