On a Caleb Williams interception on Sunday night, DJ Moore didn't appear to run his route at full speed.
Chicago Bears fans certainly noticed.
They came out with all sorts of criticism on social media for this:

There were plenty of ways to break this down. One of the best came when Moore was compared to the popular Pokemon video game.
First, this is what Bear Weather Fans had to say on X, and then we'll explain:
"DJ Moore is like a Pokémon you traded for that you don’t have a high enough badge for so it’s a coin flip between him being utterly incredible or just (messing up) mid battle."
Essentially, every "pocket monster" you can have on your side in a Pokemon game has a level, and if you haven't defeated enough gym leaders, there are certain levels of Pokemon that won't always do what you ask them to do.

You can still trade for those higher-level Pokemon, but it can backfire if they choose not to behave at a crucial time.
Like this for instance, not running full speed on a route in a key playoff game.
And now the Bears' season is over.
